"MAKE A CHILD SMILE" Charity Fundraising Event

It all started when I was a boy…

I grew up as a less fortunate child. My mother worked hard but still wasn't able to provide more than the 3 basic needs: food, clothing and shelter. As time progressed and I began to play the Keyboard and so I was able to afford other things. My birthday is on April 26th and every year I would normally do something special to celebrate this day.

However, this year, I felt led to stage an event in the form of a concert, "Godartiste & Friends", which is also an annual event that will raise funds to make Child's Month a memorable and uplifting experience for the less fortunate kids here in Jamaica. It was a resounding success and many children really smiled this Child's Month on receiving the many educational gifts. A big thank you to all those persons who made this possible through your kind donations and support. The GoFundMe page I have set up,  gf.me/u/higq52 , seeks to raise funds to ensure the 'Make a Child Smile' project is continued as a charitable outreach to provide supplies to needful children on an ongoing basis. The aim is to enhance their lives with educational aids, toys, funding for lunch money, clothing, food and other school related needs as well as other gifts and support.

As a 27-year-old Jamaican recording artiste, 'Godartiste', and student at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts I understand the importance of reaching out and helping the younger disadvantaged members of our shared community. When we touch the life of a little child we are shaping the future of our global society.

This is an invitation to you or your company to partner with this us by donation or sponsorship as we aim to “MAKE A CHILD SMILE’’ in this project year 2019.
